Application Notes | Magnesium oxide is a useful laboratory reagent and has been used as a reference white in colorimetry studies. Additionally, Magnesium oxide in nanoparticles dispersed in alcohol have been reported to inhibit hydrolytic and oxidative degradation of paper documents. Magneisum oxide has also been utilized in groundwater studies in the removal of borate and as a solid phase extraction sorbent to determine the presence of benzo[a]pyrene. Additionally, Magneisum oxide microspheres were noted to be useful in an enrichment method of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. |
