It is likewise employed in zinc metallurgy. It is employed in drying industrial gases, solids and many organic liquids. In granulated form it is used as soil conditioner. Used for food additives in the soy manufacturing industry.
Notes
It is hygroscopic in nature. It is non-combustible. Stable under normal temperatures and pressures. On decomposition gives oxides of sulfur and calcium oxide.Other References :
