Key Features and Details
- Used to lyse living yeast cell walls to produce protoplast or spheroplast
- Can be used for glucan hydrolysis.
SKU | 08320921 |
Application Notes | Zymolyase 20T is used to lyse living yeast cell walls to produce protoplast or spheroplast of various strains of yeast cells. It may also be used for glucan hydrolysis. Zymolase-has a low solubility. Use as a suspension. If it is necessary to make a sterile enzyme solution of more than .5%, make a 2% enzyme stock solution by dissolving Zymolase -1T in a buffer solution (pH 7.5) which contains 5% glucose. To remove insoluble substances, filter through a sterile filter. Do not use Nitrocellulose filters. Dilute sterile enzyme suspension on to desired concentration. |
